via BBC: A 15-year-old British teenager has been arrested over multiple cyber hacks, including bomb hoaxes which affected numerous US airlines.
The youngster is accused of using social media to place hoaxes with North American airlines
The crimes, which according to Devon and Cornwall police are unrelated to the TalkTalk hacking, were detected by officers from the Operation Zephyr Regional Cyber Crime Unit.
The Devonian faces charges under Section 3 of the Computer Misuse Act, relating to denial of service attacks on websites at locations in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia.
In addition he faces charges under Section 51 of the Criminal Law Act relating to bomb hoaxes placed with airlines in North America via social media.
He has been released on bail and will face Plymouth Youth Court on Friday December 18.
Last month a boy from West London, 16, and a boy from County Antrim, Northern Ireland, 15, were arrested over the TalkTalk data theft.
The 15 year-old has been charged with three offences under Section 3 of the Computer Misuse Act, which relate to denial of service attacks on websites at locations in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia.
