Hillary Clinton doesn’t want to hear it, but the U.S. Military overwhelmingly supports Donald Trump for President. According to a survey back in May, Donald Trump is the preference among active-duty service members’ to become the next U.S. president, topping Hillary Clinton by more than a 2-to-1 margin. Twenty-one percent of the service members surveyed said they would abstain from voting, while over 54 percent they’d vote for Trump. Only 25 percent said they would vote for Clinton in a head-to-head with Donald Trump.
While Hillary continues to collect the endorsement of Communist leaders, the parents of terrorists, and the most obnoxious celebrities in America, Donald Trump got a more meaningful endorsement today. Eighty-eight retired U.S. Generals and Admirals penned an open letter which stated their support for Donald Trump and “His commitment to rebuild our military, to secure our borders, to defeat our Islamist supremacist adversaries and restore law and order domestically.
The letter begins (as quoted via the Conservative Post):
“As retired senior leaders of America’s military, we believe that such a change can only be made by someone who has not been deeply involved with, and substantially responsible for, the hollowing out of our military and the burgeoning threats facing our country around the world,” the letter states. “For this reason, we support Donald Trump’s candidacy to be our next Commander-in-Chief.”
“It is a great honor to have such amazing support from so many distinguished retired military leaders,” Trump stated in response to the endorsement. “I thank each of them for their service and their confidence in me to serve as commander-in-chief.”
Hillary Clinton has foreign policy experience, and the Military is still firmly against her. That’s because while Trump has no foreign policy record for us to judge, Hillary has a disastrous one to reflect on. We’re fighting the greatest Islamist Threat the world has ever seen right now, and the Military can’t afford to be set back any more. Obama blacks the majority of drone strikes against ISIS, and hasn’t even tried flushing out ISIS by sending boots on the ground.
Obama rightly says that ISIS is a force for evil, and that we’ll “ultimately degrade and destroy” ISIS, but he’s half-assed that task thus far. Hillary Clinton promises for her administration to be a continuation of the Obama Presidency, and we cannot afford even one more term of Obama, let alone two.
