It’s one of America’s fastest growing sports. Keanu Reeves is apparently an expert at it. And no, (thank God), it’s not soccer.
It’s called 3-gun, a difficult test of both physical ability and sharpshooting that has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years. And as this video proves, Keanu Reeves is an expert.
In just 37 seconds, Reeves shows what the sport is all about. A participant must handle an AR-15, a handgun and a shotgun, hitting all of the targets as quickly as possible. The video, posted Feb. 26, has already garnered over 90,000 views.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Reeves completed the training for a new movie, “John Wick: Chapter 2,” due out in 2017.
This video is Barack Obama’s nightmare for a few reasons. Firstly, it shows that guns can be handled safely without being used to kill people.
Yes, even the AR-15 — a gun that has taken on a Voldemort-like “the gun which must not be named” quality in recent dialogue about the Second Amendment — can be used for sport (or game, or protection) without being used to kill people. In fact, almost all of the AR-15s sold are used for just that purpose.
Secondly, in spite of the liberal war against guns, more and more people are participating in safe, legal gun ownership and shooting sports than ever before.
According to America’s 1st Freedom, the NRA’s official magazine, “3-gun is, in fact, the fastest growing shooting sport in the nation, and not just for men. The number of women and youth participating … was quite impressive, as was the females-only prize table that attracted more female shooters.”

Chad Adams, vice president of sanctioning body 3-Gun Nation, says it’s expanding rapidly.
“More than 1,000 unique 3GN members participated in 3GN Regional Championship matches this year, and I think that says a lot about what we’ve created and where 3GN is positioned, driving the most exciting shooting sport around,” Adams said. “Next season we’ve got some new venues coming online, so I’m pretty confident the 2016 3GN Regional Series is going to be the toughest ticket in all of 3-gun next year.”
This isn’t just because of fear, as Obama would like to portray it as. It’s because people enjoy exercising their Second Amendment rights, both to protect themselves and for sport. And they’ll keep doing it, too, in spite of Obama’s anti-gun agenda — just like Keanu Reeves.
A video of actor Keanu Reeves (Matrix, John Wick) has emerged that shows Reeves shifting between three guns — an AR-15, a shotgun, and a handgun — to literally shred targets downrange.
The shooting configuration — commonly called 3-gun — requires a considerable degree of shooting skill and practice in order to be done with efficiency and accuracy. Moreover, it involves the pressure of being timed while transitioning between the three weapons, shooting targets throughout.
According to Conservative Outfitters, Reeves is reportedly honing as 3-gun skills as part of his training “for the sequel to the movie John Wick.”
The NRA’s America’s 1st Freedom reports that 3-gun is, in fact, “the fastest growing shooting sport in the nation.” Moreover, it is not a sport popular with men only, but is increasingly popular with women and youth as well. The 3-Gun Nationals include competitions for women and youth, along with “a female only prize.”
