AirAsia Flight Attendant on the Deadly Crash Left This Heart-Breaking Message Behind

An AirAsia flight en route to Singapore disappeared this weekend. Many speculated that the bad weather could have led to the plane’s fate, and those fears were confirmed after remnants and bodies were found in the Java Sea.

Before the fatal crash, 22-year-old flight attendant Kahairunnisa Haidar Fauzi left a touching message to her boyfriend on her Instagram account.

From The Independent:

The flight attendant whose body was recovered from the sea today left a message from an AirAsia plane in one of her last posts on social media.

Just two weeks before the crash, Khairunnisa Haidar Fauzi posted a picture on her Instagram account of the words “I love you from 38,000ft” written on a napkin placed on a cabin window, showing the blue sky and aircraft’s wing outside.

It was believed to be addressed to the 22-year-old’s boyfriend, Divo, who is mentioned in several of her posts, most recently with their names engraved in sand on a beach.

It was unclear whether the photo was taken on flight route QZ8501, which crashed into the Java Sea on its way from Indonesia to Singapore on Sunday, killing all 162 people on board.

Known to her friends as Nisa, the former law student was pursuing her dreams of working for the airline as a flight attendant.
