The battle over the endorsement of military veterans is one that Donald Trump has been beating Hillary Clinton at. Soldiers of every kind know what it takes to serve and protect our country. Which is why their endorsement is so sought after. Their sacrifice is what makes it so humbling and respected.

Now World News Politics is reporting that a total of 88 retired former U.S. Generals and Admirals have already written an open letter of support for the Republican Presidential nominee. Stating that their support of him is due to his commitment to rebuilding the military, securing the borders through the Mexican American border wall, and policy of defeating ISIS terrorists by restoring law and order within our own borders.

Sounds pretty reasonable. The letter said,

“As retired senior leaders of America’s military, we believe that such a change can only be made by someone who has not been deeply involved with, and substantially responsible for, the hollowing out of our military and the burgeoning threats facing our country around the world. For this reason, we support Donald Trump’s candidacy to be our next Commander-in-Chief.”

Since Donald Trump has made his support of veterans and the military so public and such a large part of his platform the endorsement was not lost on him. And of course he responded almost instantaneously. He said that he was honored to receive support from the honorable men and women. Maintaining that he will make them the finest fighting force again.

The endorsement also probably has something to do with the fact that Hillary Clinton’s abhorrent behavior in regards to the Benghazi terrorist attacks has turned many military sour to her. Which is the real reason Trump is doing so well with veterans in all likelihood. Considering Hillary Clinton left our American soldiers to die in Benghazi our soldiers and military personnel have every reason to not like or trust her. If she did not serve and protect those men who died in Benghazi why on earth would she serve and defend any of us?
