(From Mad World News) The Christian majority in America is battling the atheistic minority now more than ever. Even schools and students are seeing their religious rights stripped in an effort to keep others from being offended.
Licking Valley High School in Newark, Ohio is in the midst of a nasty fray regarding atheists’ recent accusations that the school district is guilty of at least two violations of the separation of church and state.
The attack came from Freedom From Religion Foundation, a secular activist group, which accused the district of violating the First Amendment by allowing high school marching band members to wear shirt that said “salvation” on them during their performance, reportsTheBlaze.
In response to these claims, hundreds came together on the football field of the Randy Baughman Stadium Friday night to bow their heads and recite the Lord’s Prayer.
Local resident David Hoover also placed three large crosses on his property, which just happens to be directly across the street from the field.
Another resident reportedly made shirt that read “Stand up, stand strong, Amen!” and handed them out during the prayer.
While locals say that the assembly was simply an effort to bring “the community together” and show “coaches and all the faculty” that they have support, Hoover confirmed that his crosses were erected in direct response to the atheist grievances.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation also complained that a 2013 Facebook photo showing a member of the school’s football team leading fellow teammates in prayer was yet another violation.
Trying to wrap your head around the secular group’s claims is difficult. The activists claim that students wearing a t-shirt expressing their First Amendment rights is a violation of the First Amendment? So, to make things fair, the religious majority has to conform to the beliefs of the angry minority, which is “nothing?”
Now, the group will surely be offended that the students and community willingly assembled peaceably to express their First Amendment rights once again.
Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves.
