Ammon Bundy and Blaine Cooper have spoken out in an interview about their reasons for occupying the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge building in Burns, Oregon. They didn’t hold back, and their statements were spoken in true American spirit. This is the intended purpose of a militia.
As the news segment begins, you hear a basic breakdown of the cause of the occupation — the terrorist charges levied against two Oregon ranchers over a controlled burn. Quite simply, Bundy and Cooper aren’t taking it anymore. Using the correct term “tyranny” to describe the BLM’s (Bureau of Land Management) oppression of ranchers, Bundy details his intent, and it’s enough to make any red-blooded American want to stand up and thank him. Bundy’s plans are to return the land to the people to lift them from the poverty caused by the over taxation and regulation in Hardy County.
Bundy wants those in the area to live in freedom. The Hardy County sheriff has conceded that the headquarters building is no longer in the government’s control, but in the hands of Ammon Bundy and his militia.
Bundy also told the press that many would be willing to “fight and die if necessary” for their rights. After Bundy speaks, Cooper backs him up, stating that they are asking for additional recruits. Now that they have a building, there is a place for militiamen to stay warm — and Cooper asks that you come armed.
