Beginning today, the military will allow transgenders to openly serve in the military. Prior to today, the military deemed transgenders psychologically unfit to serve.
As Obama’s fundamental “trans-formation” of the military is now complete, Secretary of Defense Ash Carter figured he owed an explanation to servicemen & women as to why he allowed it to take place. Carter gave 3 specific reasons for the change. His comments are in block quotes. Prepare for stupidity.
Reason 1: There aren’t enough smart people available for certain military tasks & roles, hence, we need to tap the minuscule transgender segment of society to fill these roles.
Our mission is to defend this country, and we don’t want barriers unrelated to a person’s qualification to serve preventing us from recruiting or retaining the soldier, sailor, airman, or Marine who can best accomplish the mission. We have to have access to 100 percent of America’s population for our all-volunteer force to be able to recruit from among them the most highly qualified — and to retain them.
Apparently the negative effects of Common Core math are more widespread than previously thought.
Reason 2: We owe it to transgenders who are currently serving to pay for sex change operations.
Right now, most of our transgender servicemembers must go outside the military medical system in order to obtain medical care that is judged by doctors to be necessary, and they have to pay for it out of their own pockets. This is inconsistent with our promise to all our troops that we will take care of them and pay for necessary medical treatment.
Well, he didn’t say it “outright,” but you know it’s coming! Join the military, get a free sex-change operation. Gotta look out for that political, gobbledygook, doublespeak. Cue the Caitlyn Jenner gif.
Reason 3: All military leaders from George Washington on have been wrong on the issue of gays & transgenders serving. If transgenders had been allowed to serve, we wouldn’t have lost all the wars we fought.
Americans who want to serve and can meet our standards should be afforded the opportunity to compete to do so. After all, our all-volunteer force is built upon having the most qualified Americans. And the profession of arms is based on honor and trust.
Basically what Carter is saying is, “Hey, Obama and the extreme left have a different idea on what’s ‘normal.’ The hell with 241 years of military tradition. What’s up is down, and what’s down is up! Obama’s my boi!”
Where the f*ck’s George Washington when you need him?
