What a wonderful, kind and thoughtful thing to do! A man in New York City brought police officers guarding a terror site coffee, pastries and other items, just to say thank you. This is what America is right here! Color doesn’t matter… just pulling together in the aftermath of a terrorist attack. This is why I love New Yorkers.
I’m just sad that tons of people didn’t bring them stuff like this. These officers are putting their lives on the line protecting a terrorist crime scene, while working to keep New York safe. They are just doing their jobs with no thought for their own safety. The suspect has been arrested, but there’s no telling if they got everyone in the cell.
This is your feel good video of the day.
From Weasel Zippers:
Good and kind citizen.
I remember after 9/11 how we all pulled together and did for each other. This is very reminiscent of those actions. With all the terrorist attacks and probings out there, it is good to know there are those who still feel that way and will hold us together during the bad times.
This guy went to Starbucks and got coffee and pastries to help brighten the day of these officers and paid for it out of his own pocket. A tense day for them to be sure as no one knows what to expect. It wasn’t just the bombs in Manhattan and New Jersey, it was the stabbings in Minnesota, which I believe was a test for a much bigger attack on a major mall at some point in time. A Muslim also threatened to blow up an elementary school in Utah. Two things would cause massive chaos in this country and martial law: a massive mall attack with casualties and an attack on a school or schools by Islamic terrorists.
Police nationwide are on high alert because of all this. Plus, they have to worry about Black Lives Matter, the New Black Panthers and the Nation of Islam coming after them. It’s very hard to defend Americans while having to watch your back as well.
We should all try and do something special for the police officers who work where we live. You never know when the Thin Blue Line will be all that stands between you and a terrorist. New Yorkers feel this more strongly than most, since 9/11 is still fresh in their minds. This was a great gesture by a very good man.
With all the crap going on, this is something good to see. Man brings LEOs guarding explosion site Starbucks. pic.twitter.com/Os0Z11gscE
