The news keeps on getting worse for those who wish, against all evidence, to support Michael Brown.
Now comes news of what the Ferguson, Mo. shooting victim was carrying at the time of his death.
A great deal of the controversy surrounding the Michael Brown case involves the myth of the “gentle giant” that’s been perpetrated by the media – a man apparently incapable of attacking police in the way Officer Darren Wilson claimed.
Never mind, for instance, the fact that eyewitnesses corroborated Wilson’s version of eventsduring the grand jury.
For the conspiracy-inclined, these witnesses were also African-American.
You also have to ignore the forensic evidence that also seems to prove Michael Brown didn’t have his hands up and wasn’t peacefully complying with Officer Wilson’s orders.
You would also have to ignore the violent rap lyrics penned by Brown that seem to indicate that, even if he was a giant, he certainly wasn’t gentle.
And then there was his violent confrontation with a store owner just before the shooting.
Another key piece of evidence emerged when it was reported that Brown was carrying a bag containing 1.5 grams of marijuana, in addition to to having copious amounts of THC already in his bloodstream. [H/T CNS News.]
The crime lab report from the St. Louis County Police Department indicated that Brown had in his possession “one (1) knotted clear plastic bag containing green vegetation,” which unsurprisingly turned out to not be dried basil.
In addition, a St. Louis University toxicology report found that Brown had “12 nanograms/ML of Delta-9-THC,” which is more than two-and-a-half times the legal limit in states where marijuana is legalized.
The report stated that “Delta-9-THC detection in the blood defines impairment.”
The combined reports were delivered to the grand jury and were assumedly taken into account in their decision.
This probably won’t matter to Eric Holder, who will now probably press for double the civil rights charges, based on Wilson discriminating against an African-American and a pot-smoker.
