The Democrats have made no secret of the fact that they are more than a little miffed at their precious Hillary not winning the general election in November. We thought it was just because they loved them some Clinton 2.0. It turns out that their objection was partially because of all the wrong-doing that was going to be uncovered once the Trump administration started trying to fix the problems in Washington.
One major problem that President Trump is having is the deep-seated corruption in almost every section of government. One can usually tell where the blame will end up because when the truth starts to come out, one specific politician or another will start crying foul, trying to find a law that will keep the powers that be from probing any deeper.
Such is the case with the wiretapping that took place at Trump Towers prior to President Trump’s inauguration. The chips are still falling, and the democrats are doing everything they can to put the breaks on the operation, even stooping to say that the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee should have notified other Senators before going to the President with his newest information.
Via Fox News Insider:
Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) responded to Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), who demanded that House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes (D-Calif.) be removed. Schumer criticized Nunes for going to the White House to pore over and brief the administration on classified developments in allegations that the Obama administration spied on the Trump campaign. “I just love it when Senator Schumer gives Republicans advice on what we ought to do,” Gowdy said. “Devin is doing exactly what the chairman is [supposed] to do.” Schumer made his request because Nunes failed to notify the rest of his committee that he would be making the trip to his “source” on the White House grounds, and that he may have had new information on the case.
In case you need a cliff notes version of what you just saw; basically, the head honcho of the Democrats in the Senate, Schumer, wants to remove the guy that found out this incriminating information because he didn’t bring it to them to squash. Republican Rep Gowdy is saying that Schumer needs to mind his own business and deal with his own problems instead of making up problems for the Republicans. Nunes did exactly what he was supposed to do, and thankfully the other republicans are going to stand up for him.
