From Conservative Tribune: El-Haddad had worked for the Clinton Foundation for five years, after which he left to become a “professional propagandist” for the new Muslim Brotherhood government that sprang up after Hosni Mubarak was deposed.
Not too much difference in job duties, I imagine.
El-Haddad received the life sentence from Judge Mohammed Nagi Shehata earlier this month. He’s actually rather lucky: Some of the more serious cases ended in a death sentence.
El-Haddad and others, according to The New York Times, “were reportedly accused of joining a command center” during a 2013 Islamist demonstration at Cairo’s Rabaa al-Adawiya Square “that sought to spread chaos across Egypt in defiance of the government.” (H/T Joe Miller)
The rally was in support of the then-recently deposed government of Mohamed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated president who had done such charming things as persecute Coptic Christians and refer to Jewish people as “bloodsuckers.”
El-Haddad — whose first name, “Gehad,” means jihad in Egyptian — had also been the English-language spokesman for the Muslim Brotherhood.
This isn’t the first time that Clinton has been linked closely with the Muslim Brotherhood. One of her closest advisors, Huma Abedin, has significant links to the Egypt-based Islamist organization, with many of her family members holding positions of rank within the Brotherhood.
The press, of course, has been loath to report on these associations, preferring instead to focus on Abedin’s links in marriage to serial pervert Anthony Weiner.
The fact that Clinton has multifarious links to one of the world’s premier Islamist organizations should be one of the most urgent questions to her 2016 presidential campaign, yet the press never seems to bring it up.
Before Hillary takes over as president, is it too much to ask that she answer why she has such extensive links to an Islamic extremist organization? The American people deserve to know.
