The same hackers that hit the Democratic National Committee and the party’s fundraising committee for candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives also hit Hillary Clinton’s campaign. She had previously been warned by the FBI that it could happen and she ignored them. She has also refused to cooperate with the FBI because they didn’t have a subpoena. She flat out refused to turn over computer logs and personal email information. Sounds to me as if she has even more to hide. It’s a toss up who she fears more: WikiLeaks and the Russians, or the American people.
“An analytics data program maintained by the DNC, and used by our campaign and a number of other entities, was accessed as part of the DNC hack,” Clinton campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said in a statement. You can bet that WikiLeaks has much, much more they are going to release on Clinton if that is true. And they won’t just wait for November. This will probably be an on-going series of leaks – highly embarrassing and highly damaging to Clinton. She has only herself to blame. I can’t find a lick of sympathy for her.
From Conservative Post:
What’s more: the Hillary campaign was WARNED, but chose not to cooperate with the FBI, according to reports.
More from Politico:
Hackers have attacked the computer network of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, Reuters reported Friday, in what would be the third cyber-assault disclosed in the past week on the Democratic Party’s national campaign apparatus.
The latest attack is believed to be part of a broader hacking campaign that U.S. investigators and private sector cyber experts have attributed to Russian intelligence services. But the Obama administration has not publicly assigned blame for any of the breaches, despite pleas from dozens of security experts who say it’s imperative for the U.S. to deter foreign aggression against its political system.
The Justice Department declined to comment on the report, while the FBI said in a vaguely worded statement that it “is aware of media reporting on cyber intrusions involving multiple political entities, and is working to determine the accuracy, nature and scope of these matters.” Reuters did not initially specify the nature of the attack or say what information the hackers may have stolen.
As recently as Tuesday, Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta told reporters at the party’s convention in Philadelphia that he was confident in the campaign’s “robust security” system. He said the campaign had received no FBI warnings that it may have been breached by the hackers who had stolen politically explosive emails from the Democratic National Committee.
The FBI said Friday it is investigating. “The FBI is aware of media reporting on cyber intrusions involving multiple political entities, and is working to determine the accuracy, nature and scope of these matters,” the FBI said.
A Clinton aide said the hackers had access to the analytics program’s server for approximately 5 days. The program is used to conduct voter analysis. It couldn’t have been used to access internal campaign email or other communications or computers, the aide said, citing an outside security expert. Right. Notice they did not name the expert and even if they did, it’s almost a certainty they were paid to say whatever Hillary wants. Do you honestly think that if the Russians could get to that server, they didn’t get to everything connected to it? Get real.
