BREAKING: Texas Governor Has ENOUGH, Signs Bill To Destroy Sanctuary Cities For Good

Texas Governor Gregg Abbott has taken a stand against the Obama administration once again. This time he is outlawing sanctuary cities for illegal migrants. Like he did before when he stood up to the President against the Common Core and Obamacare. Abbott indicated he isn’t ready to sign SB4 which would eliminate the sanctuary cities within the borders of Texas.

These cities refuse to enforce federal laws that rule immigration. They will not hold illegal immigrants in jail on minor charges until ICE shows up. Instead they release them before they are deported. Unfortunately not only is what they are doing illegal but it is also costly and will not stand the test of time. Annually it allegedly costs $113 billion which comes to $1,000 per citizen.

Texas is already facing major educational cutbacks and their schools are lacking the necessary money to function productively and efficiently. Which means this money that enforcing the law would provide could very well put this money back into the hands of educators and the school system. Where it is so desperately needed.

A similar bill was signed, called SB185. It was part of the 84th Texas Legislature acknowledged in 2015. However, it unfortunately never received a vote on the floor. Numerous members of the House and Senate in Texas have shown and expressed their support for this bill making it very likely it will reach Abbot’s desk for signature.

This news is in line with President Trump’s plans to build a wall along the Mexican American border as well as deport millions of violent illegal immigrants living in America. Abbot’s actions are preemptive considering Trump intends on blocking federal dollars from going to sanctuary cities.

The new law would force the following,

  1. Municipalities are forced to comply with immigration detainers
  2. Municipalities cannot prohibit or discourage officers from inquiring about immigration status during a lawful stop
  3. State grants will be withheld if the Attorney General of Texas finds an entity is in violation of law
  4. The immigration status must be recorded in a person’s case fill
  5. The bill protects witnesses and victims of crimes if they are here illegally.

Hopefully the bill passes! It is a disgrace to all the legal immigrants who came here through their own hard work.
