Two men with ties to a terrorist group have been released into the United States by the federal government.
Their release was ordered by a federal immigration judge.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson told Congress on Tuesday that a judge ordered two of four men with terrorist ties apprehended at the border earlier this year to be released.
The other two men remain in DHS custody — at least for now.
According to a Fox News report, the two men, originally from Turkey, have now fled to Canada to seek asylum.
Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., appeared on the Fox News Channel’s “On The Record” with Greta Van Susteren, to discuss the alarming revelation.
He said the most important takeaway from the fact that the men were able to enter the country in the first place is the need for increased border security.
“With terrorism, you have to get it right 100 percent of the time,” he told Van Susteren. “What are we doing to secure our country?”
Watch the discussion here, from Fox News:
The insecurity of America’s southern border has already led to an unknown number of American deaths by violent criminals, drunks, and simply the young and irresponsible who shouldn’t be allowed into the country in the first place.
Adding to the threat board concerns about intentional murder by international terrorists who surely know how porous the border is — and have already vowed to destroy or conquer America — just makes it all the more clear why President Barack Obama must do his constitutional duty and secure the border.
It’s the smart thing to do, even for a narcissist who is concerned only about his own future.
Just one domestic terror attack by a foreign national on his watch, and he can kiss the rest of his legacy goodbye.
