‘Build A Wall’ Banner Triggers Walkout At Oregon High School

The losers protesting the wall are not Americans in any way shape or form. Let us remember the words of Theodore Roosevelt:

“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American … There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag … We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language … and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”

Via Daily Caller: Donald Trump’s idea of building a wall along he Mexican border continues to stir up trouble. This week the trouble occurred at Forest Grove High School on Thursday. A “Build a Wall” banner was hanging in the school hallway when students got up an left class in protest.

The Chief of Staff at Forest Grove High School district, Connie Potter, stated that, “It was immediately taken down, within literally a minute or two, and the students who hung it have been disciplined.” Yvonne Curtis, the superintendent, noted that none of the students who participated in the walkout would be punished.

The students involved in putting up the banner are being punished said officials from the district. “A lot of people would say this is first amendment freedom of speech, but there’s a big difference between spreading awareness and just being hateful,” stated Forest Grove High School’s student body president.

The protest gained a large amount of attention on social media when people used the hashtag #StandupFG on Twitter. Students outside the school campus were chanting “si se puede” in Spanish which means “yes we can.”
