From the Conservative Tribune: Chick-fil-A, the restaurant chain that liberals have attacked so viciously and labeled as evil, has once again come to the aid of members of their community in a show of support for the family of a fallen sheriff’s deputy killed in action.
Utah County Sgt. Cory Wride was shot and killed by a 17-year-old female suspect last year during a traffic stop, an event that left his family and friends shaken, including his wife and 12-year-old daughter, Macklin.
Wride’s family wants nothing more than to travel to this year’s National Police Week Memorial taking place in Washington, D.C., and thanks to Chick-fil-A teaming up with a national organization known as Concerns Of Police Survivors, that’s going to become a reality.
The organization, COPS, helps families of police officers killed in action emotionally, mentally and financially. They differ from similar organizations in that they assist the entire family of a fallen officer as opposed to just the widow and children.
“One thing that’s different about all of our organization is we deal with the entire family. Most organizations deal with the widow and the children, which is awesome. But we deal with the entire family,” Utah COPS chapter spokeswoman Andrea Davis said.
Chick-fil-A will use their far-reaching platform to host COPS fundraisers throughout the state of Utah at most of their locations, raising much-needed funds to get Wride’s family to D.C. in order to honor him and other officers who have paid the ultimate price (H/T IJ Review).
Once again, Chick-fil-A, a company that operates on Christian principles, has left liberals and atheists speechless. This restaurant has done more good for society than most other companies in existence.
The mainstream media is mostly responsible for the portrayal of Chick-fil-A as an evil company that forces its religious and cultural views on the public.
We have yet to see a remote example of that unless you consider giving homeless people free meals, feeding and sheltering stranded motorists and donating resources and money to their communities “evil.”
Keep reaching, liberals.
