Apparently, even blood-thirsty, murderous Islamic jihadis have a sensitive side too.
According to MSN, authorities say one of the Brussels airport bombers left a note before the attacks where he said he felt increasingly unsafe and feared ending up in prison, say authorities.
Ibrahim El Bakraoui was one of two men in dark tops who blew themselves up in the departure hall on Tuesday morning.
His thoughts were found on a computer which was dumped in a rubbish bin on a street near the militants’ hideout.
In the note – revealed by prosecutors – El Bakraoui described himself as “always on the run, not knowing what to do anymore, being hunted everywhere, not being safe any longer.”
Oh that’s SO sad! And what terrible irony that the citizens of Brussels, Paris and perhaps the whole of Europe don’t feel safe any longer either because of monsters like you.
He added that “if he hangs around, he risks ending up next to the person in a cell” – a reference to suspected Paris bomber Salah Abdeslam, who was arrested in Brussels last week.
Well, he no longer has to worry about being arrested. Because now he’s dead.
The note was recovered following a raid on an apartment in the Brussels district of Schaerbeek on Tuesday night.
At the property, security forces found a nail bomb, an Islamic State flag, 15kg of the same kind of explosives used in the Paris attacks and bomb-making chemicals.
An unused explosive device was also discovered at the airport.
Investigators were tipped off about the apartment by a taxi driver who had driven three “suspicious” individuals to the airport – and was told not to touch their luggage upon arrival.
He directed police to a house in Schaerbeek, where he had picked them up.
The terrifying thing is there are now up to 400 of these maniacs circulating freely in Europe, waiting for the perfect moment to murder more civilians. We pray the security forces on our side will find them first.
