This week it has been incredibly stressful. First, we had the mounting pressures of a possible Cold War between the United States and Russia over Syria. Plus, the strain between North Korea and well, everyone.
So, it should not come as any surprise that China is now stepping up to Kim Jong Un and pushing back. See, everyone is revising their “red lines” in the sand and China is not different. Kim Jong Un has been testing everyone’s patience and China is ready to strike back. China’s red line is simple, if North Kores crosses China’s border then it is game on. To show N. Korea that they mean serious business, China is sending 25,000 troops to the North Korean border to prepare for possible war.
According to Zero Hedge:
“China has a bottom line that it will protect at all costs, that is, the security and stability of northeast China… If the bottom line is touched, China will employ all means available including the military means to strike back. By that time, it is not an issue of discussion whether China acquiesces in the US’ blows, but the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) will launch attacks to DPRK nuclear facilities on its own.”
The Oriental Daily News reports that Beijing has ordered troops from all five of its military regions to be on high alert due to the escalating crisis in the region. Also, UPI also reports that China’s armored and mechanized infantry brigades in the provinces of Shandong, Zhejiang and Yunnan have received the same state mandate.
So, it is easy to see that China certainly does mean business, right?
You can watch this video here about an impending strike.
But, China is not the only ones preparing for a possible military strike. America is also on high alert as Trump has sent the USS Carl Vinson toward the western Pacific Ocean. This is, of course, to show our power and force to this ruthless dictator.
However, that is not all that has been sent that way. According to InfoWars, the United States has also sent a WC-135 “nuclear sniffer”. This particular plane specializes in “sniffing” out radioactive debris after the detonation of a nuclear device.
However, Chinese President Xi Jinping is urging President Trump not to take any action. Xi is urging Trump to pursue a peaceful resolution to this crisis, and I agree with him. The last thing any of us need is a huge war at this time.
“China insists on realizing the denuclearization of the peninsula, insists on maintaining peace and stability on the peninsula, and advocates resolving the problem through peaceful means,” Xi was quoted as saying in the call according to Chinese state broadcaster CCTV said.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang, who said Trump had initiated the call, urged everyone to lower the tension. “We hope that the relevant parties do not adopt irresponsible actions. Under the current circumstances, this is very dangerous,” Lu told reporters at a regular press briefing. Kang also said Wednesday at a regular briefing in Beijing that it was a “good thing” that the two leaders were in touch again days after meeting in Florida.
So, what this boils down to is simple. China is well aware that tensions are high with North Korea but does not want any further action. China does not want Trump to launch a unilateral strike on North Korea without China’s approval first. Which I can fully understand.
Of course, we all know that Kim Jong Un is a madman, but we need to tread lightly. If this guy is pushed too far he could start a world war with everyone. I hope that we can reach a peaceful negotiation with this lunatic without any more bloodshed.
However, as we know that could prove difficult since we are dealing with a lunatic. Let us know what you think about this development. Do you think that China is correct for sending their troops to their border? Or, will this only create more tension with North Korea?
