BREAKING! Democrats Introduced Bill To Impeach Trump

It’s safe to say that Democrats are not happy about Donald Trump being the next president of the United States. They’ve been trying everything they can think of to keep him out of office: alleging voter fraud, forcing recounts, even claiming that Russia rigged the election. None of that worked, so now, they’re taking it to the next level: they’re getting ready to try to impeach him, before he’s even taken office.

A group of Democrats in the Senate have announced their plans to introduce legislation that will require Trump to divest any financial holdings or assets that may pose a conflict of interest, and place the money into a blind trust. Any violation that is considered a conflict of interest or of ethics laws will be seen as a “high crime or misdemeanor under the impeachment clause of the U.S. constitution.” This could lay the groundwork for potential impeachment.

“The American people deserve to know that the President of the United States is working to do what’s best for the country — not using his office to do what’s best for himself and his businesses,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren said. Also backing the legislation are Democratic Sens. Ben Cardin (Md.), Chris Coons (Del.), Dick Durbin (Ill.) and Jeff Merkley (Ore.)

It’s not just Trump that would have to abide by these rules, too — Melania Trump, Mike Pence, Karen Pence, and even Trump’s young son, Barron, would be forced to follow the same requirements. With ridiculous rules such as these, the question becomes, is this really about protecting the American people, or is it about playing a gotcha game so they have an excuse to impeach Trump as soon as he takes office?
