One of the many bogus accusations that Donald Trump faced during his campaign was that he mocked a disabled reporter – the New York Times’ Serge F. Kovaleski, who has arthrogryposis. In reality, Trump was using gestures to mock him that he uses to mock all kinds of people. He wasn’t specifically mocking Kovaleski in a unique way because of his disability.
That didn’t stop Meryl Streep from blasting Donald Trump for allegedly doing that (without mentioning him by name) during her speech at Sunday’s Golden Globe awards. While she expressed grave concern over Trump’s non-existent mockery of the disabled, Obama ACTUALLY has done it!
As YesImRight reports:
It’s funny because Barack Obama, the liberal messiah, made an ACTUAL sick comment about disabled people back in 2007 as he ran for President. When Obama spoke about his crappy bowling score, he said “it’s like I’m in the special Olympics or something.”
Now, since we’re not liberal wimps, I don’t actually think we should care. But it highlights a double standard that liberals have – that something is only a problem when its the other side doing it.
And just a bonus, while we’re talking about Streep, fast-forward to the 1:10 mark in the clip below to see Streep (and lots of other top names in Hollywood) giving convicted rapist Roman Polanski a standing ovation when he won the Academy Award for Best Director for “The Pianist” in 2003:
