It should have been just another normal Friday at school for 15-year-old Karen Perez. Like most teenagers, she was probably looking forward to spending time with her friends over the weekend. Unfortunately, for Perez, there would be no more weekends.

karen perez 4Perez was a student at South Houston High School in Texas. Her friends describe her as beautiful, caring, and a person who “had a lot of love in her heart.” “She had her whole life ahead of her,” said one friend.

Perez was last seen on Friday, May 27th. Her body was found, partially nude, in a sink cabinet, in an abandoned apartment late Monday night.

Her 15-year-old boyfriend was the last person seen with her. Video from a taqueria by the school shows Perez with two males, one who is believed to be her boyfriend.

Perez’s boyfriend was arrested on Tuesday, and was later charged with murder.

According to the Daily Mail, her boyfriend posted this to his Facebook after she went missing.

ABC 13 Houston reports:

Police found text messages on the boyfriend’s phones, according to prosecutors. The messages showed the boyfriend texted Karen, demanded she skip school on Friday, and meet him by the tennis courts. Surveillance video from a nearby restaurant shows Karen with the defendant and another person, leaving there shortly after noon. She never returned home again.

If she didn’t, the message said he would kill her and her life will “end on bloods.”

Also found on the boyfriend’s cell phone was a video recording of Perez’s final moments as she begged for her life while he raped & strangled her. According to police, the video is dark, but the audio is clear.

According to ABC 13, her boyfriend can be heard forcing her to have sex. When she said she didn’t want to, he began choking her. Crying out, Perez’s last words were “I don’t want to die.” The thug had no mercy.

Perez’s murderer had his first day in court on Wednesday.

Hopefully he’s tried as an adult & hung from a tree.
