On Tuesday, two New York City police officers were shot at when a dark sedan with four black males inside pulled up and opened fire on the officers.

One of the occupants reportedly said something about, “getting them.” Neither of the officers were hit by the shots and the NYPD were unable to find the suspects.

PIX11 reported,

“A massive manhunt is underway after two officers on patrol were shot at by a person inside a car in Brooklyn. The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. on Ditmas Ave. and E. 23rd St. within the confines of the 70th Precinct in Flatbush.

The NYPD said two officers in uniform were walking their post when a dark-colored sedan with tinted windows slowly approached them and made a statement about “getting them” before firing away at the cops.

The vehicle occupied by four men, described as black, fled the scene, police said. Both of the officers were not hurt. Police are investigating whether the same vehicle was responsible for threatening police at the 66th Precinct on Monday around 4:30 p.m. A similar car drove by and made a “gun gesture” to officers standing outside, according to the NYPD.

A few New York City bridges, including Verrazano-Narrows, Brooklyn and Manhattan were temporarily closed in search of the gunman.”

This attack is just another in a long line of attack on law enforcement. Several officers were murdered in Dallas, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Just over a month ago and it shook the nation. People have been coming out in droves to counter the Black Lives Matter movement to say that Blue Lives Matter too.

The attacks don’t seem to appear to stop. But instead are continuing to increase as time goes on and as time continues the assailants become deadlier and deadlier. It is a very dangerous time in our country.
