For the eight years of George W. Bush’s presidency, liberals were so insane about him that psychologists actually came up with a name for it: Bush Derangement Syndrome. Now, after eight years of liberal icon Barack Obama, there’s another Republican in office. But even though Donald Trump is only a few days into his presidency, liberals are already losing their minds, even more than they did with Bush. Unfortunately for them, acting like an unhinged lunatic doesn’t often pay off.
Scott Kotesky was on a flight from Baltimore to Seattle, where he had paid for an upgraded seat because of the long flight. As he entered his row, he smiled at the couple sitting there already… but didn’t get a similarly warm welcome. Instead, they were immediately hostile. “Did you come here to cheer or to protest?” the woman demanded. “I came here to celebrate democracy, ma’am,” he replied, adding that they were all entitled to their own opinions. This immediately set the woman off… and she began threatening Kotesky.
“And I’m entitled to get drunk and puke in your lap! I’m going to throw up right in your lap!” she shrieked. “You make me sick! Don’t talk to me! Don’t look at me! Don’t you dare even put your arm on that rest. You disgust me! You should be ashamed of yourself! You put a maniac’s finger on the button! You are a bigot. You should get off this plane!”
Still, Kotesky kept his cool. “Ma’am, by definition, bigotry is disparaging someone prior to knowing them simply by their beliefs and opinions,” he responded. “Thank you for being the very thing you preach against.” Unsurprisingly, this just set her off even more. Eventually, she became so disruptive, that airport police came and kicked her off the plane for her verbal abuse. And the passengers around them — even the ones who opposed Trump — sided with Kotesky, defended him, and defended his right to free speech.
