“If you’ve been experiencing issues logging onto Facebook today, you’re not alone. The site is down for most users
The site started to undergo issues around just before 12 noon ET on Friday, according to various tweets.”
Facebook’s developer webpage went down with the site during the initial outage, but now displays the prominent warning, “Increased errors/latency on all Platform surfaces” with a promise that the company’s engineers are working to fix the issue:
Facebook is currently experiencing an issue that is affecting all API and web surfaces. Our engineers detected the issue quickly and are working to resolve it ASAP. We’ll update shortly.
