(Controversial Times) A concealed carrier in the city of Chicago, Illinois shot and killed an attempted armed robber this weekend.
Reginald Gildersleeve, 55, was shot and killed by a concealed carrier at the Agencia Mexicana market on Saturday night.
Gildersleeve allegedly entered the store wearing a mask and brandishing a firearm. He then demanded cash from the business. A concealed carrying customer drew his firearm and fired multiple times.
Gildersleeve was pronounced dead in the street in front of the business.
According to a report by the Chicago Tribune, the man’s family is speaking out about the incident:
A man who identified himself as the shooter’s brother declined to comment Sunday morning at the shooter’s Southwest Side home, saying only that the family was doing OK but had been through a traumatic time and wanted to keep things private.
No charges are expected against the concealed carrier in the incident.
