If you believed everything that First Lady Michelle Obama said then you would think we live in some type of dystopic universe.
In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey she said that now that President Elect Donald Trump is getting ready to take office and has been elected we now know what being hapless and hopeless feels like.
The television special with the talk show icon is set to air on December 19th in a few days. During the interview Michelle Obama was all doom and gloom. However, prior to the airing CBS has released a small excerpt of the interview that shows the First Lady maintaining that once her husband leaves office all hope will be lost.
Oprah asked the outgoing First Lady,
“Your husband’s administration, everything, the election was all about hope. Do you think this administration achieved that?”
The First Lady responded,
“Yes, I do. Because we feel the difference now. Now we’re feeling what not having hope feels like, you know? Hope is necessary. It’s a necessary concept. And Barack didn’t just talk about hope because he thought was just a nice slogan to get votes. He and I and so many believe that what else do you have if you don’t have hope? What do you give your kids if you can’t give them hope?”
There is an entire world outside of the progressively liberal confines of the White House and Washington D.C. It would seem that Michelle Obama has forgotten that and thinks the world is coming to an end. But for the rest of us we understand that the world does not end and all hope is not lost just because who you wanted to be elected into office is not.

Many Americans, millions, feel extraordinary hope now that Donald Trump is heading to the White House and already making multi million dollar deals with the likes of IBM and a Japanese bank to bring jobs to the United States. Just look at the Dow Jones Industrial Average which is sky rocketing through the roof to see how hopeful people are.
While hope many be lost for Democrats if they took a second to look outside their own perception of reality they would see we are far better off than we were when Obama was in the throws of his administration. And our best days are yet to come.
