Here’s Who Could’ve Been Our First Lady – SHOCKING Pics Emerge Of Who Trump Dumped For Melania

President Trump may have worked for he has in his business endeavors, but he definitely hit the lottery when it comes to winning over wife, Melania. Our new first lady has proven that she is as smart and poised as she is beautiful, and no doubt President Trump got a pretty sweet deal when Melania said yes to marrying him. However, if things had gone just a little differently, we might not have this Solivan princess as our first lady.

The night that President Trump met, now wife, Melania he had a date, and it wasn’t with her.

Via Express UK:

Melania Trump, formerly Melania Knauss, 46, met her husband at a Fashion Week party in New York City in September 1998.

However, she was not the young lady that the future president attended the bash with.

In fact, Donald Trump, then 52, had turned up to the party with Celina Midelfart, who was 26.

However, it was 28-year-old Melania who caught his eye.

Celina, the blonde on the tycoon’s arm, is the daughter of a successful Norwegian businessman, Finn-Erik Midelfart.

Her father ran Midelfart AS, a company started by his father and sold to Proctor & Gamble and Midsona AB.

These are seemingly good credentials for the girlfriend of a business tycoon, but unfortunately for Celina, Donald was smitten with Melania almost immediately.

‘I saw Melania and I said, ‘Who is that?’’, he told People Magazine.

“She was a very successful model. She was terrific. I tried to get her number and she wouldn’t give it to me.”

Melania insisted on taking Trump’s number, instead of giving him her own. The two went on a date and the rest is US history.

However, things didn’t turn out all too badly for Celina.

The Norwegian, now 44-years-old, lives in Chelsea, London, with her business magnate husband Tor Olav Trøim.

The pair enjoy a lavish life, with friends in high places. They attended the wedding of Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O’Neill hosted by King Carl Gustaf XIV and Queen Silvia at the Royal Place in Stockholm in 2013.

While Donald Trump is known for his loud, straight-talking persona, Melania, 45, seems to take a backseat in public life.”

It’s no big secret that opposites attract, and while Celina may have seemed like a good idea at the time, I, for one, think that Melania balances the President out perfectly. His outspoken and forward nature was sure to need someone with a soft touch and traditional thoughts on gender roles. While many might see this as some sort of put down, Melania seems to be one of the women who look at family as a chance to influence the world in a different way. She was obviously wildly successful in her chosen field before she met Donald Trump, and there’s no indication that she needed him or his money. The couple decided that what they wanted was a life together, and they do it with a plan and on a schedule that works for their family.

GQ did a profile on Melania, shortly before the President was elected, and while much of what they had to say virtually dripped with disdain for the couple’s less than feministic friendly arrangement, this quote from a long time friend of Melania’s family says a lot about the couple.

Via GQ:

“Vladimira Tomšič, who went to the same school as Melania and is friendly with her parents, tells me that her upbringing helps explain her marriage. ‘The secret of why he’s with her,’ she explains, ‘is her traditional values and the importance of family to her.’ In other words, that bearskin-rug photo is a red herring: Melania is the ideal wife for the conservative base. She is, in fact, positively biblical—Trump’s perfect ‘help meet,’ his ‘suitable helper,’ as the Bible’s description of Eve would have it. Melania Trump is as tailored to The Donald as if a divine plastic surgeon had sculpted her out of his rib.

Nobody knows for sure why things happen, but there’s no doubt that her calm and put together a way of mothering has been a tribute to herself and her husband. Melania claims to have a deep faith in God, and her values would reflect a certain selflessness that is consistent with that. It’s just possible that God took her willingness to shepherd her kids, and stepkids and gave her the chance to influence much more. She really seems to have mastered the concept of being “faithful in the little things, because little things make big things.”
