(Mad World) Ashley Brady, 26, tragically lost her leg in an accident last summer, and is now enduring the difficult task of getting used to her new prosthetic limb and she struggles to make it across her icy apartment complex parking lot each day without falling.
Life was finally a little easier for the young amputee, until two days later when she arrived home to see someone without a handicap pass on their car occupying the single spot the complex had for those who truly needed it. Upset at the clear slap in the face, Brady wrote a note for the car owner, explaining the difficulty she has walking, and asked the driver not to park in the handicapped spot anymore.
“I left her a note saying why I needed that spot, that I found it disrespectful, and if she did it again, she would be towed,” Brady told the Amputee Coalition of America.
That simple request lit the fuse in the inappropriately parked angry person, who responded in the most unimaginable way possible. The driver left a foul message for the handicapped woman, referring to her as a “cry baby one leg” and saying, “If you want pity go to a one leg support group,” among other vile tidbits in a shocking diatribe left of the amputee’s car.
“Hey handicap! First, never place your hands on my car again! Second, honey you ain’t the only one with “struggles.” You want pity go to a one leg support group! You messed with the wrong one! I don’t care what your note said shove it, but you touch my car again I will file a report, I am not playing! I let the office know the cry baby one leg touches my property I will cause trouble so go cry your struggles to someone who cares cause I’m walking away with both mine! –[Expletive],” the letter said.
Since the hate-filled, insensitive, degenerate asked Brady to cry to someone who cares, she did just that — to a huge group of people on Facebook, garnering a response of immense support that started a firestorm of feedback. “So I went to the internet and it turns out a lot of people care,” Brady said.
Brady also filed a grievance with the Miamisburg police and notified the management of her apartment complex, but property personnel had yet to address a resolve to the incident as of Tuesday afternoon.
We live in a self-centered society. This note with its disgusting sentiment is indicative of the mentality in this world today. The note-writer, who is presumably a female, can sure sound tough with her harsh words, but her bubble-letter handwriting style says she’s an immature little twit with a bad attitude and entitlement issues.
