BREAKING! Ford Makes Huge Announcement After Calling President Donald J. Trump! Told You So Moment!

Donald Trump isn’t even in office yet, and he’s already having an influence.

Trump in his campaign threatened to impose a 35% tariff on imports from China and Mexico. The scary part for companies like Ford, is that he could do so without legislation. As many pundits and Trump watchers have noted in the weeks since he won the election, Trump’s 35% threat is an “opening bid.” It is a start to the conversation and negotiation with companies who have made huge investments in Mexico and China to bend them to his will, and up their investments in the U.S.

He is looking for more gestures like the one from Ford this week to validate his election and give him momentum in his first 100 days. What gesture from Ford, you might ask? As Red State Watcher reported:

President-elect Donald Trump said Ford Motor Co Chairman Bill Ford had just told him the automaker had decided not to move production at a Kentucky plant to Mexico: “I worked hard with Bill Ford to keep the Lincoln plant in Kentucky. I owed it to the great State of Kentucky for their confidence in me!” – Donald Trump

Awesome news! And the liberal media is in total denial. They’re arguing that the plant wasn’t going to Mexico in the first place, completely ignoring the fact that Ford said in a statement “We are encouraged that President-elect Trump and the new Congress will pursue policies that will improve U.S. competitiveness and make it possible to keep production of this vehicle here in the U.S.” Additionally, “We had planned to move the Lincoln MKC out of Louisville Assembly Plant,” probably to the Cuautitlan factory in Mexico, Christin Baker, a Ford spokeswoman, said in an e-mail.

Sounds like they were planning on at least moving some production to Mexico. Even if the entire plant wasn’t going to be moved, how do you deny that American jobs were saved?
