Newt Gingrich Says Loyal Giuliani Would Make A Better Secretary Of State Than Traitor Romney

Newt Gingrich is a huge supporter of Donald Trump along with several other members of the Republican party. But he has been stalwart in his support from the very beginning. As well as Rudy Giuliani and Mike Huckabee to name a few. One who has not been a supporter is former presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

He vociferously denounced Trump labeling him a con man, a snake oil businessman and a liar. Of all the people who denounced Trump, Romney’s was the harshest and loudest. Which is why many are confused as to why Trump and Pence are considering Romney as Secretary of State.

Newt Gingrich voiced his opinion on the matter stating to the press after a meeting at Trump Towers with Trump himself,

“I think there are huge advantages to Rudy Giuliani. Frankly, I think that if you want someone who is going to go out and be a very tough negotiator for America and represent American interest in the way that Trump campaigned, I think that probably Rudy is a better pick and has the right temperament.”

Furthermore he said he was not sure if Romney was,

“willing to be [Trump’s] Secretary of State.”

Moreover that it would to take a lot of,

“work to make Trump Romney’s version of the presidency.”

While Giuliani may be more of a street fighter like Trump, Romney is the type of emissary to the United States that this country needs. He is classy, dignified, loves America and stands up for what he thinks is right even if it means being demonized by people in his own party. People would respect him. He may not be exactly what Trump wants but he certainly what he needs. A strong, establishment, Republican politician who is respected and a class act.

Regardless of Trump’s popularity those are things he is definitely not nor will he ever be. It is just not the way the cookie crumbles.
