On Friday, the National Cathedral in Washington D.C. opened its doors and allowed a Muslim prayer service for the first time in its history, and one woman wasn’t too happy about it.
According to TheBlaze, the female heckler interrupted the prayer to express her discontent with the service and deliver a message of her own.
“America was founded on Christian principles,” she reportedly shouted. “Leave our church alone!”
The invitation-only event was a part of an initiative to push for “religious unity” by Islamic and Christian leaders, but drew harsh criticism from many across the country.
One notable name that spoke out against having the service was Rev. Franklin Graham, the leader of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He turned to Facebook for his outlet, writing that he believed it was “sad to see a church open its doors to worship of anything other than the One True God of the Bible.”
It’s hard to blame him, especially when the likelihood of any mega-mosque in America opening its doors to Christians or Jews is small.
