It’s about time: one of our allies in the war against the Islamic State has put the Council for American-Islam Relations (CAIR) on their list of terrorist organizations.
More surprising, however, is which of our allies did this. England? France? Canada?
Well, actually, how about the United Arab Emirates?
Yes, a Muslim nation finally admitted what our leaders are to afraid to. And on The Kelly File last night, host Megyn Kelly addressed the issue in-depth.
CAIR has been a major topic for Kelly, who has doggedly kept at the group and exposed its octopus-like ties to terror organizations. In spite of this, CAIR has received almost no mainstream news coverage.
Brooke Goldstein, a human rights attorney, was also on the program to address the issue.
“It’s about time… it happens because the UAE finally has the courage and the conviction to designate a very well-known terror front organization,” Goldstein said.
“The evidence is out there,” she continued. “All you have to do is go and look to see the amount of board members and civil rights coordinators that are on the Council on American-Islamic Relations staff that have been convicted for funding and providing material support for designated terrorist groups, like Hamas for example.”
In spite of obvious terror links any half-wit could determine through a quick Google search, CAIR is still considered a “civil rights organization” by many on the left, including Al Sharpton, Rep. Keith Ellison, and Rep. Gerry Connolly.
In addition, the group has made a number of official White House visits during the Obama administration.
