via Telegraph: Donald Trump speaking with a Danny Dyer-style Cockney accent is probably the weirdest thing you will see today
Actor Peter Serafinowicz dubbed his voice over a clip of Trump talking about the race to the White House.
His constant references to presidential rival Bernie Sanders in the clip makes it sound like a scene from a British crime comedy reminiscent of Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
“I gave Mr Trump a tough guy cockney accent. No words were changed,” Serafinowicz explained under the clip.
The ‘Donald Thump’ clip has already racked up thousands of views on YouTube less than 24 hours after it was posted.
It’s fair to say the reaction has been pretty positive to the clip, Jon Gomm wrote: “This is beautiful.”
Another wrote: “Oh God, you actually made him sound smarter, I could almost take what he said seriously.”
Serafinowicz previously released a video where he makes the outspoken billionaire sound like an upper class English aristocrat.
Meanwhile, Manchester-based artist Conor Collins has created a portrait of the Republican candidate using his most infamous quotes to highlight his “bigotry and sexist attitudes”.
“The Trump campaign started off laughable and we all, across the globe, laughed at this silly man trying to buy and bully his way into politics,” he explained.
