In the second such attack in 4 days, Iranian backed Houthi rebels have fired at least one missile at a U.S. Destroyer off the coast of Yemen.
The USS Mason was forced to fired defensive weapons in reaction to at least one missile fired at it.
Just last week, Hillary Clinton told the American public that she paved the way for the Iranian nuclear deal during the 2nd presidential debate. Iran has since become increasingly hostile towards U.S. Navy ships in waters off the coast of the terror supporting nation and now off the coast of Yemen.
A U.S. Navy destroyer was targeted on Wednesday in a failed missile attack from territory in Yemen controlled by Iran-aligned Houthi rebels, the second such incident in four days, the U.S. military said.
The USS Mason fired defensive salvos in response to at least one missile which did not hit the ship or caused any damage as it operated north of the Bab al-Mandab Strait, the Pentagon said. Indications are that the second salvo brought down an incoming missile, one U.S. official said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The renewed attempt to target the U.S. Navy destroyer will add pressure on the U.S. military to retaliate, a move that would represent the first direct U.S. military action against Houthis in Yemen’s conflict. The Pentagon said it would respond “at the appropriate time and in the appropriate manner.”
The missile attack comes two weeks after a U.S. Navy ship that was sold to the United Arab Emirates was attacked by the Houthi rebels, destroying it.
Videos released by the rebels show former US Navy ship HSV-2 Swift being hit.

Yesterday’s attack on the Navy destroyer comes on the heels of Iranian fast attack boats simulating attacks on U.S. Navy ships in the Strait of Hormuz. In two instances, Iranian Revolutionary Guard attack craft swarmed Navy vessels. In one incident, a U.S. warship fired warning shots.
Iran & its proxies are intimidating, and now attacking U.S. forces with regularity. Hillary said she paved the way for the Iranian nuclear deal and that we are all safer for it. Sure doesn’t seem that way. This is hers to own. If she becomes president, our servicemen & women and even American citizens will come under increasing attack because of her poor judgement.
