Jamba Juice Moving Headquarters From California To Texas

It has been well documented that the liberal wasteland of California is not only going broke but they are also doing everything they can to encourage businesses to leave the state.

The ridiculous minimum wage hike and egregious taxes on businesses have created an economic climate that simply isn’t conducive to growth.

Now it looks like Jamba Juice is the latest in the long line of businesses who are leaving the state.

From Los Angeles Times:

Jamba Inc., the owner of smoothie company Jamba Juice, will move its headquarters from Emeryville, Calif., to Texas within eight months.

The company’s new corporate home will be in Frisco, Texas, about 30 miles north of Dallas. In a statement, Chief Executive David Pace said Jamba was looking for places that had “competitive operating costs,” access to “skilled restaurant talent” and an “attractive cost of living,” along with a central location for further expansion.

“The state of Texas meets all of these criteria and Frisco is a community committed to healthy living that aligns closely with our overall mission,” Pace said.

The article doesn’t come out and admit that high taxes and backwards minimum wage laws are a huge reason for this but it didn’t have to. That’s common knowledge at this point.

California is a disaster and rather than try and fix the problem by promoting growth they are driving businesses out of the state with excessive regulations.

Sad to see.
