Further proof to why we should all be worried. These extremist are coming from all walks of life, and growing rapidly. It’s now a global pandemic, and only becoming exponentially worse as time passes.
(The Conservative Tribune) Most Americans and other Westerners who have been following along with the tragic developments out of the region controlled by the Islamic State group are well aware of a man nicknamed “Jihadi John.”
John was the hooded figure with a British accent who appeared in the beheading videos of American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, Peter Kassig and others, including most recently two Japanese aid workers.
It is even believed that “Jihadi John” recently got involved in a Twitter war with none other than the Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity.
Now it is believed that we have a real name to go with the hooded face and British voice, and that name is Mohammed Emwazi.
Emwazi is a Kuwaiti-born man who hails from West London and has been known to British intelligence for many years.
According to Fox News, Emwazi graduated from the University of Westminster in 2009, where he studied computer programming.
It is believed that Emwazi traveled to Syria to join the Islamic State group in 2012.
A spokesman for the London Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command released a statement that neither confirmed nor denied the identity of Jihadi John.
However, two different London-based groups, one that tracks jihadist fighters in Syria, and another that works with Muslims targeted by the British government, both confirmed that “Jihadi John” was in fact Mohammed Emwazi.
It was also pointed out by the King’s College radicalization center that Emwazi came from a well-to-do and upwardly mobile family, and that he most certainly wasn’t impoverished or from a deprived background.
So much for the Obama administration’s “jobs for jihadists” program.
