Judge Just Made Shocking Ruling On If “In God We Trust” Will Stay On Our Currency Under Trump!

It wouldn’t be a day in liberal America if liberals weren’t trying to attack our faith. But they didn’t get away with it this time. A federal judge just dismissed a case that would have taken the phrase “In God We Trust”, off the currency. The person who started the case argued the phrase breached the Religious Freedom Restoration Act which is a violation of people’s right to exercise their religious freedom.

Ohio judge Benita Pearson said the following after making her conclusion,

Plaintiffs cannot demonstrate that the use of the motto on currency substantially burdens their religious exercise. Credit cards and checks allow Plaintiffs to conduct the bulk of their purchases with currency not inscribed with the motto. And for cash-only transactions, such as a garage sale or a coin-operated laundromat, the use of the motto on currency does not substantially burden Plaintiffs’ free exercise.”

Plaintiff attorney Michael Newdow has tried to do this before. He previously tried removing “Under God” from the pledge of allegiance but failed. The suit began in October of 2015 started in the U.S. District Court’s Northern District. In his argument Newdow said,

Plaintiffs either specifically do not trust in any ‘G-d’ (with NOT trusting G-d being a basic tenet of their belief systems) or hold G-d’s name so dear and exalted that to inscribe it on a monetary instrument is deemed sinful.”

Judge Pearson responded with the following,

Plaintiffs argue that cash transactions force them to bear a message that they [feel] violate their religious beliefs. But as the Supreme Court stated in Wooley v. Maynard, ‘The bearer of currency is thus not required to publicly advertise the national motto.’ Furthermore, Plaintiffs’ other concerns, that they may be subject to peer pressure or ridicule, or that their children may question their beliefs, are unlike the choice between a ‘basic benefit and a core belief’ described in the Supreme Court’s case law.”

The fact that a case like this would even be considered is ludicrous. This is a country based on Judeo-Christian values. Thus, you see the words in God we trust and under a God a lot. If you don’t like it then perhaps you should go live somewhere else. This is the United States of America.

Only in today’s liberal America is nonsense like this even considered.
