Obama’s hometown of Chicago is having their weekly bloodbath again this weekend. All the death you can envision in a so-called ‘gunless’ city. Except, they use a lot of guns. Guns are only out of reach there for the good guys. The bad guys seem to get them regardless and use them whenever possible. The weekend isn’t even over yet and five are dead and at least 31 wounded.
Did you know that between 20 and 50 people are shot every single, damned weekend in Chicago? It boggles the mind. Here are some of the fatalities resulting from this weekend’s festivities.
From The Federalist Papers Project:
Every weekend, the media reports these killings and the story gets longer and longer. They detail the incidents leading up to the shooting and as much on the victim as they can find. Here’s how NBC Chicago reports this weekend’s violence:
Latrell Gipson, 27, was walking on the sidewalk in the 200 block of North Kostner about 1 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Gipson, who lived in the 1000 block of North Parkside, was shot in the head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:10 a.m., authorities said.
About 7:15 p.m. Saturday, a 21-year-old man was shot to death in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.
He was sitting in a vehicle parked in the 6600 block of South Champlain when a black SUV pulled up to him and someone inside opened fire, hitting him multiple times, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he later died. The medical examiner’s office has not released his name.
Early Saturday, a melee in the Austin neighborhood left a woman dead and three others injured on the West Side.
The four got into a fight with another group of women about 3:20 a.m. in the first block of North Leclaire, and 27-year-old Marteace Rhone was shot in the head, authorities said. Rhone, of the 300 block of North Lotus, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:30 a.m.
Friday evening, a 21-year-old man was shot to death in the Ashburn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
About 7:15 p.m., Ural J. Durant was standing near an SUV parked in the 2400 block of West 79th Street when two people walked out of a gangway and started shooting at the vehicle, authorities said. Durant, whose home address was unknown, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene at 7:44 p.m.
Last weekend in Chicago, 42 were shot and another five were killed. Your life expectancy in Chicago is not very good folks. Why anyone lives in that hellhole is beyond me. Notice that Obama is not going back there.
Chicago has become a death trap run by gangs and criminals thanks to Progressive leadership there. And the biggest contributing factor to its demise is gun-control… well that, and Marxists.
