The Democratic National Convention has left us ripe with lots of controversial stuff to talk about and now it’s Jennifer Granholm. She is a former Governor from Michigan and gave an interesting and widely considered wild performance that people are calling rather, “out there.”
In a high pitch tone, she attacked Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee. She said he has his own version of the Constitution. Mocking him by saying, “I, the person, in order to form a more perfect union.” Then she broke out into song like she was a high profile music celebrity.
She did a father quirky impression reversing John F. Kennedy’s famous saying by saying, “ask not what I can do for my country, ask what my country can do for me.” Then she closed to an applause by saying, “Donald, you’re so vain, you probably think this song is about you.”
She didn’t seem to be pleasing the crowd at first but as the impressions continued they seemed to react better and better. Although it’s very clear she was simply trying to get a reaction from them for some nice notoriety. Her performance was similar to Governor Howard Dean’s famous war call.
Social media was all abuzz over it,

Since their policy platform is certainly lacking it makes sense why they would attempt to try and stir the crowd through other non-substantive wow factors. But it’s all bluster and bravado and nothing of import or validity.
It’s a certainly uncomfortable and rather awkward speech to watch as she looks as though she’s trying to hard to achieve whatever goal it is she’s trying to achieve. But then again that’s no different than Hillary Clinton herself that is.
