BREAKING: Justice Dept. Demolishes Case Against Trump Order

The recent executive order on immigration handed down by the Trump administration has been plastered all over major media headlines and outlets. It is swiftly making its way through the judicial system. Recently, federal judge James Robart issued a stay on the order which temporarily reinstated travel to the seven formerly banned countries.

However, he offered next to zero explanation for his actions. All he said was that the order was illegal and unconstitutional. He argued that he would win should it go beyond his court. But the Justice Department is going to fight back and they are.

The Department argued that Robarts restraining order violates a clear separation of powers. Furthermore, that it encroaches on the president’s constitutional legal authority when it comes to mandates on foreign affairs, national security, and immigration. Ultimately they said that his actions endanger America.

In court last week Robart had words with Justice Department attorney Michelle Bennett. Robart asked,

How many arrests have there been of foreign nationals for those seven countries since 9/11?”

To which Bennett responded she did not have the information. Robart responded with the following,

Let me tell you. The answer to that is none, as best I can tell. So, I mean, you’re here arguing on behalf of someone [President Trump] that says: We have to protect the United States from these individuals coming from these countries, and there’s no support for that.”

Apparently, a judge from Washington thinks he knows more about foreign intelligence, terrorism and international relations than the President of the United States and all of his closest advisors who are experts in the field.

Bennett also said the following in court,

Your Honor, I think the point is that because this is a question of foreign affairs, because this is an area where Congress has delegated authority to the president to make these determinations, it’s the president that gets to make the determinations. And the court doesn’t have authority to look behind those determinations.”

Perhaps if this judge and all these liberals constantly protesting were more fixated on keeping us safe than touting some narrative that is not based in reality President Trump would actually be able to get things done. But they would rather see everyone fail by watching Trump fail than have everyone succeed and flourish.
