It’s a sad ole day when I start agreeing with the likes of Kanye West. Friday, he went into a 40 minute rant on supporting Donald Trump etc. on stage. Saturday, it was much worse. In Sacramento, West took to the stage and did yet another rambling, lengthy monologue. He only sang three or four songs before going off on his audience. He laid into Beyonce and Jay-Z for supporting Hillary Clinton. Then abruptly just left.
While I still think Kanye West is the scum of the earth and not right in the head, I can understand his frustration over politics and with other celebrities and their Leftist bent. All of these people are self-centered egomaniacs. Too much wealth, privilege, drugs and booze. West is obviously cracked and paranoid… but he also realizes that celebrities are no longer speaking for the people out there. They have become what they abhor… elitists.
Rapper Kayne West, during a concert in Sacramento on Saturday, launched into a lengthy monologue about Beyonce, Jay-Z and politics before abruptly leaving the stage.
According to multiple reports, West only performed three or four songs before going on his diatribe, NME.com reports.
This is a moment in the Matrix, bro!
Beyoncé, I was hurt! ‘Cause I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me, and over ‘Hotline Bling.’ In my opinion—now, don’t go tryin’ to diss Beyoncé, she is great. Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people, we are all equal. But sometimes, we be playin’ the politics too much and forgettin’ who we are—just to win. F*ck winning! F*ck lookin’ cool!
I’ve been sent here to give y’all my truth—even at the risk of my own life, even at the risk of my own success, my own career. I’ve been sent here to give y’all the truth. Jay Z, call me, bruh! You still ain’t call me! Jay Z, call me! Jay Z, I know you got killers, please don’t send them at my head. Just call me! Talk to me like a man!
West was roundly criticized by his comrades after Friday night’s performance, where he said he didn’t vote, but if he had, it would have been for Donald Trump. “I told y’all I didn’t vote, right?” West told a crowd in San Jose on Thursday. “But if I would have voted, I would have voted Trump.” He was booed for that and people actually started throwing things at the guy.
He added later in the San Jose concert: “That don’t mean that I don’t think that Black Lives Matter. That don’t mean I don’t think that I’m a believer in women’s rights. That don’t mean I don’t believe in gay marriage. That don’t mean that I don’t believe in these things because that was the guy I would’ve voted for.” Unfortunately, many of his fans walked out on West. Guess the Left is not so tolerant after all.
