KARMA: Pro-Castro Colin Kaepernick Gets Booed, Slaughtered by Miami Dolphins

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s political stunts have already made plenty of Americans angry. But when Kaepernick showed up for a press conference sporting a Fidel Castro shirt, it was crossing the line. And when the 49ers played the Miami Dolphins, the fans there made their fury known.

It was just two days after Castro’s death that Kaepernick arrived to play in Miami. And Miami has one of the largest Cuban populations in the country, thanks to its close proximity to Cuba. It was where desperate refugees fleeing Castro’s brutal oppression sought refuge. So pro-Castro fangirling was not going to go over well in Miami, where plenty of people know firsthand of Castro’s evil.

And when Kaepernick played, the Miami fans booed. Loudly.

The 49ers lost to the Dolphins, in a dose of epic karma. But the best part was at the end of the game, when Cuban player Kiko Alonso delivered a crushing tackle to Kaepernick, ending the game and delivering the win to Miami. After the game, in the Dolphins locker room, Alonso sported a Cuban flag headband, and met with his father, a Cuban exile.

Castro was not some revolutionary that improved the lives of Cubans everywhere. He was a murderous tyrant, a dictator who tortured, jailed, and murdered anyone who dare criticize his regime. Thousands of Cubans in Miami, and thousands more across the country, have the same history as the Alonso family does: refugees who fled Cuba so they could have freedom. Castro’s rule was so awful that people would rather risk death in makeshift rafts through shark-infested waters than stay in Cuba. And yet Kaepernick, along with his fellow idiotic liberals, continue to praise the tyrant.

Sorry, Kaepernick. You just got schooled.
