The Golden Globes awards were two nights ago, and everyone is talking about Meryl Streep’s acceptance speech for the Cecil B. DeMille Award.
The actress said “the one performance this year that stunned me sank its hooks into my heart.” She was talking about when Trump allegedly mocked a disabled New York Times reporter (note: he didn’t. I prove it at the end of this article).
“It kind of broke my heart when I saw it, and I can’t get it out of my head, because it wasn’t in a movie. It was real life,” Streep said. “And this instinct — to humiliate — when it’s modeled by someone in the public platform, by someone powerful, it filters down into everybody’s life, because it kind of gives permission for other people to do the same thing.”
“Disrespect invites disrespect. Violence invites violence. When the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose,” she continued. “We need the principled press to hold power to account, to call them on the carpet for every outrage.”
Donald Trump fired back at her – and he wasn’t the only one.
As the Conservative Tribune reported:
White House counselor Kellyanne Conway came out swinging Monday morning against Hollywood actress Meryl Streep, who had used her platform during Sunday’s 74th annual Golden Globes to condemn President-elect Donald Trump for having allegedly mocked a disabled reporter.
“I’m glad Meryl Streep has such a passion for the disabled because I didn’t hear her … use her platform last night … to give a shout-out to the mentally challenged boy who last week was tortured live on Facebook for half an hour,” she said on Fox News.
In fact, nobody at the Golden Globes mentioned the hideous crime that occurred last week in Chicago, where four black racists kidnapped and then tortured the aforementioned young man while yelling anti-white and anti-Trump expletives at him

And by the way, Trump never mocked a disabled reporter for his disability. The mannerisms he enacted when criticizing that reporter are mannerisms he’s used in poking fun at countless others. Watch below:
Apparently Meryl Streep couldn’t be bothered to watch the rest of his speech. Luckily, we bothered to do our homework.
