Liberal heads are exploding. The very conservative Heritage Foundation has been helping with vetting names for possible positions on President Trumps cabinet. They are eyeing the top loyalists throughout Trumps campaign and liberal site Salon is not too happy saying that Trump’s White House would essentially be “Three Stooges of embarrassed Republicans”. They go on to name Newt Gingrich and Rudy Giuliani. HAH! Embarrassed Republicans? These are Tea Party stars!
Rumored that Rudy Giuliani is being considered for attorney general and my favorite candidate for anything, Newt Gingrich is being considered for secretary of state. I was disappointed he wasn’t considered for VP but you can’t have it all. Additionally retired Lt. Gen Michael Flynn is being considered for either defense secretary or national security adviser.
NBCNews reports that Trump has not taken any active role in the transition efforts mostly out of superstition. He was aware of how 2012 Republican candidate, Mitt Romney, has oodles of plans and details for his cabinet and look what happened to him. I agree with Trump that it’s best not to jinx things… he’s got a couple months to get things in order starting Wednesday. Trump is first and foremost focused on winning.
As Trump polling has improved the transition rumors have grown with intensity. Many Trump loyalists are hoping Trump will remember them as they have their eyes on desired positions. Heck, I’ve got a handful of friends who are fingers and toes crossed that their hard work will pay off even beyond the election.
Big Trump supporter, Senator Sessions from Alabama, has a major role in managing the transition effort. Veep running mate, Mike Pence is greatly involved and expect to see him as a very active vice president. Everyone supporting Trump is hoping that these massive changes will represent something to the Republican Party and to ALL of Washington. We’re tired of your crap and will pluck someone as far outside politics just to prove that point!
“Washington still doesn’t get it,” another senior aide said. “You have to understand the party will never be the same.”
