Well, this is the more bizarre type of creeping Sharia I’ve seen yet.
Last year the UK based company Protein World found themselves at the center of controversy when they dared put attractive models on their advertisements. One read “Are you beach body ready,” which liberals apparently thought mentally fragile
young women feminists would be “triggered” by.
Now with a Muslim mayor, London is going to be covering up women a bit, but not with a Burka.
The Daily Caller reports:
Sadiq Khan, London’s first Muslim mayor, announced Monday that “body shaming” advertisements will no longer be allowed in London’s public transport.
“As the father of two teenage girls, I am extremely concerned about this kind of advertising which can demean people, particularly women, and make them ashamed of their bodies. It is high time it came to an end,” Khan said.
The mayor added, “Nobody should feel pressurised, while they travel on the Tube or bus, into unrealistic expectations surrounding their bodies and I want to send a clear message to the advertising industry about this.”

So how do we determine what qualifies as a “body shaming” advertisement? It’s completely arbitrary. Citizens of London should prepare to live in a world where they have to pretend that ugly is beautiful.
