Donald Trump continues to search for people to serve in his administration, and with each new meeting or name drop, people continue to speculate about who Trump’s next pick will be. But the person just spotted at Trump Tower could have some people very excited… and others, very angry.
The “Trump-cam” picked up Col. Allen West meeting with Trump’s team. The former representative from Florida met with Vice President-Elect Mike Pence to discuss how West could “continue to serve” his country.
Reporters were, of course, anxiously waiting for West. “Nothing was offered. I mean, they know my reputation very well. I’m just a simple soldier and I’m the third of four generations that served this country going back to my father in World War II, and we still have a relative of ours that is continuing to serve in the Army now,” he told them. West said that he met with Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Trump’s national security adviser, and K.T. McFarland, his deputy national security adviser.
“I’m just considering how I can best serve this country and through this administration,” West said.
It’s not clear what position West is being considered for, if any. But this is still a very promising development.
