Dr. Larry Lindsey is a former United States Marine, as well as a stalwart supporter of Donald Trump. Unfortunately, Lindsey has been ill, and was in the hospital on his deathbed. But his illness did not stop him from releasing a video, saying goodbye to President-elect Trump, Vice President-elect Mike Pence, and General Mattis.
“President Trump, Vice President Pence, General Mattis… ” he says, clearly struggling to breathe. “What I would like to say is that the greatest honor of my life has been to wage this battle with you. I have been prouder of being a Marine than anything I have ever done in my life. Having a hand in some small way in fighting for my country has meant the world to me.”
“There is no greater honor to me than to have great men like you leading this country back to its foundation and back to God.”
Lindsey said that he believes Trump will be the greatest president this country has ever seen, and told Pence that he was honored to call him his vice president. He continued by saying he appreciated both Trump’s and Pence’s candor and honesty.
“General Mattis, sir… it appears that I am now out of ammunition,” he said. “But I continue to fight with my last breath. I do not fear death, because I know where I’m going, and I’m only going home for a rest. It’s you people here, the good people of America, for whom I cry, my loved ones and my friends, and the sacrifices they must continue to make, in this fight to restore out country. Dying is the easy part. Dying is the comforting part, if you know who your god is, and that He holds your hand, and I do.”
“General Mattis, I have one request sir. And that is, give ’em hell. Semper Fi. God bless,” he finished.
Not long after recording this video, Lindsey passed away at home, having chosen to leave the hospital and die peacefully surrounded by his family and his pets.
Rest in peace, Marine. You served your country well.
