Fellow passenger Christine Boyen said: “I heard a huge sound. I thought it was a plane crashing. There was a great explosion then all the windows came down. There were many dead and the policemen told me that there are many dead underground. The cigarette saved my life because otherwise I would have been in the station. I was going to quit.”
