CNN reported that Cruz & Kasich have developed a plan to try & stop Trump from becoming the Republican nominee for President. Trump fired back on Twitter late Sunday night.

From CNN:

Ted Cruz and John Kasich are joining forces in a last-ditch effort to deny Donald Trump the Republican presidential nomination.

Within minutes of each other, the pair issued statements saying they will divide their efforts in upcoming contests with Cruz focusing on Indiana and Kasich devoting his efforts to Oregon and New Mexico. The strategy is aimed at blocking Trump from gaining the 1,237 delegates necessary to claim to GOP nomination this summer.

Apparently the plan is to force Trump to go up against one strong competitor in the three states. So far, Trump leads in the polls in all of them.

Trump fired off some broadsides on Twitter:

Trump later told a crowd in Rhode Island that he was glad they teamed up as it showed them as weak, career politicians.

In statements released by their campaign managers & strategists, Ted Cruz will apparently focus on Indiana, and Kasich will attempt to derail Trump in Oregon and New Mexico.

Trump’s social media manager, Dan Scavino, blasted Cruz and Kasich shortly after the announcements.

With Trump’s dominating victory in New York last week, it’s begun to look more & more likely that he will be the Republican nominee.

Comparing home state primaries for each of the three candidates shows that there has been a major increase in voter turnout over the 2012 Republican primary elections. In Trump’s home state of New York, the increase in turnout was massive. The Republican establishment surely is aware of the numbers, and what they most likely mean.

Both Cruz & Kasich have been mathematically eliminated from being the nominee. The only hope for either of them is to stop Trump from getting the 1237 required delegates, and for there to be a brokered convention.
